Chris Jericho Stepping Down From Current AEW Role AEW

Current FTW Champion Chris Jericho has announced that he will be stepping down from a current on-screen role in AEW.

Since the launch of AEW Rampage back in 2021, Jericho had served as one of the show’s announcers, but it seems as though we won’t hear the voice of the ‘Learning Tree’ on Friday nights going forward.

During an interview with Renee Paquette on last night’s show, Jericho announced that he would be stepping down from his role as an announcer on Rampage following a recent attack by HOOK.

Jericho’s reasoning for the switch was so that he can ‘continue to take up more TV time’ on Dynamite and Collision, saying he would likely feature in ‘3, 4, or 5 segments a week’.

Jericho debuted a new ‘TV Time’ talk show on this week’s Dynamite show, where he officially introduced Bryan Keith as the newest member of the ‘Learning Tree’ as the group’s ‘Bad Apple’.
