It has been announced that Chris Jericho will defend his AEW World Championship against Cody at AEW’s next pay per view, Full Gear.

Chris Jericho became the inaugural AEW World Champion by defeating Hangman Page in the main event of ALL OUT. He had the title stolen before retrieving it, however Jericho will now look to the future. His challenger at Full Gear will be Cody.
Cody dealt with his rival Shawn Spears at ALL OUT. With an assist from legend Arn Anderson, Cody defeated Spears, evening the score initiated when Spears attacked Cody with a chair at Fyter Fest. Cody now takes his 2-1-1 record forward as Jericho’s challenger.
What Cody’s record will be after AEW debuts on TNT remains to be seen. On the company’s debut episode, he is currently scheduled to face Sammy Guevara. Likewise, Chris Jericho will team with two mystery partners to face Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks on the show.
Baltimore, Maryland will host Full Gear on November 9th.
