AEW star Chris Jericho has revealed an interesting statistic from his time in WWF and the changeover to WWE.
Chris Jericho was one of many top stars in the WWF back in 2002, when the company officially changed it’s name to WWE.
The change took place in May 2002, and Jericho has now revealed a fun fact about his time in the company.
Taking to Instagram, Jericho shared the card for a live event from May 5, 2002, the final show ever held under the WWF name.
Jericho was in the main event of the show, challenging Hulk Hogan for the WWF Championship.
He wrote:
Here’s a FUN FACT! I just found out that the very last #WWF show EVER on May 5, 2002 was headlined by #ChrisJericho vs @hulkhogan for the WWF Championship! If you would’ve told a 16 year old me that this was gonna happen I would’ve laughed in your face and probably quoted a Hogan promo from Saturday Nights Main Event! Life is amazing sometimes… @wwe
Jericho is now competing in AEW, with he and Kenny Omega set to challenge Big Bill and Ricky Starks for the AEW World Tag Team Championship at AEW Worlds End.
