Hitman Hart: Wrestling With Shadows documentary has been remastered 25 years on from the feature’s original release.
The remastered edition will feature bonus content, including a new commentary track featuring Bret Hart and Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer.
The documentary, originally released in 1998, follows Bret Hart in his final year with WWE (WWF) in 1997, before his move to WCW.
Written, directed and produced by Paul Jay, the feature covers many key moments in Hart’s career, including the Montreal Screwjob at Survivor Series 1997.
Bret Hart also recalls his youth during the documentary, discussing the start of his wrestling career, through to his career at the time of the documentary’s filming.
The documentary was well received upon its original premiere, and is considered to be one of the most critically acclaimed wrestling documentaries.
The remastered feature will be released through Vinegar Syndrome.
This is not the only project Hart has been working on, with the Hitman set to star in the upcoming movie ‘STALKER’ alongside Sophie Skelton and Stuart Brennan. That movie is set to release on demand and in select theatres on March 24, 2023.
