Four matches have been announced for the AEW WrestleDream Zero Hour pre-show, including one for an AEW championship.
Following their successful AEW Trios Championship defence against The Hardys and Brother Zay on AEW Rampage (September 29) it was announced that The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn will put their title on the line at WrestleDream in Seattle, WA.
Only this time they will be facing opponents who have never stepped into an AEW ring before, that being NJPW’s The Mighty Don’t Kneel, Shane Haste, Mikey Nicholls and Bad Dude Tito.
With Darby Allin set to challenge Christian Cage for the TNT Title, it was also announced that the other key members of the ongoing story, Nick Wayne and Luchasaurus, will also face off one on one during the WrestleDream Zero Hour.
Then, adding to the stacked card, two more matches were made official following AEW Collision (September 30) with Claudio Castagnoli throwing out an open challenge for the Zero Hour only to answered by former UFC and NJPW star Josh Barnett, who will in-turn make his debut in AEW.
Then finally a four on four mixed tag match was added to the Zero Hour card as the team of Diamante, Mercedes Martinez, Shane Taylor & Lee Moriarty take on Athena, Billie Starkz, Keith Lee and Japanese legend Satoshi Kojima.
These four matches bring the total to 14 for the entire WrestleDream card.
