CM Punk Addresses ‘Odd’ Zootopia 2 Role Alongside WWE’s Roman Reigns

CM Punk has addressed his “odd” role alongside WWE rival Roman Reigns in the upcoming animated Disney movie Zootopia 2.

Earlier this week it was announced that CM Punk and Roman Reigns will star alongside one another in Zootopia 2, which releases in theatres on November 26.

The two stars, who main evented Night One of this year’s WWE WrestleMania 41 alongside Seth Rollins, are playing a pair of zebra buddy cops, with Punk being Zebro Zombrowski and Reigns Zebro Zebraxton.

Speaking at the Zootopia 2 premiere (via Nick LoPiccolo), Punk discussed he and Reigns’ roles, saying it’s “odd” playing the role of both a zebra and a cop:

“I’m Zebro Zebrowski he’s Zebro Zebraxton. I’m not sure if we’re related or if we’re just zebras but we’re both cops. It’s so odd. It’s odd to play a cop, it’s odd to play a zebra. But it was just so fun voicing this character so I’m excited to see it on the big screen.”

Zootopia 2 is not the first Hollywood project that Roman Reigns has starred in alongside one of his famous WWE rivals, as both he and Cody Rhodes are set to appear in next year’s live action Street Fighter movie, with Reigns playing the role of Akuma and Rhodes playing Guile.
