CM Punk will be added to the AEW Elite General Manager in an update scheduled for September 14, pending approval by Apple.
Referee Aubrey Edwards, also an executive producer on AEW: Elite General Manager per LinkedIn, confirmed the news during AEW Games 2. Show’s fifth episode today (September 7).
The content update includes: a news & event system, a wrestler skin system, new storyline missions, new challenges, new avatars. new finishers, game compendium (an encyclopedia of sorts), segment animations, ranked multiplayer, and a championship belt system.
Andrade El Idolo, Ryan Nemeth, Malakai Black, Cezar Bononi, Brian Pillman Jr, JD Drake, Thunder Rosa, Wheeler YUTA, Shawn Dean, Julia Hart, Negative One, Anthony Ogogo and CM Punk are all part of a roster update.
AEW Elite General Manager’s Season of Punk season content pass includes: CM Punk’s avatar, one new skin, one new finisher, one new gimmick, five new accessories, and four new emotes.
Evil Uno joined Edwards and Allie, also known as The Bunny, revealing a new AEW show is coming to Twitch featuring talent gaming. The Twitch show will take place ahead of episodes of AEW Dynamite. The AEW Games YouTube channel has new content coming including a FIFA 21 tournament.
Additionally, while no release date for the AEW console game has been announced, fans did get to see Jungle Boy’s character art.
