WWE/AEW
Ahead of his WWE in-ring return, former multi-time WWE World Champion CM Punk has shared a photo with two AEW stars.
After two years with the promotion, CM Punk was fired from All Elite Wrestling following a backstage altercation with Jack Perry at AEW All In 2023.
Punk went on to make his return to WWE in November 2023 at Survivor Series in his hometown of Chicago.
Since then, “The Second City Saint” has once again become a top star for WWE and one of the most popular acts on the roster.
On July 30, CM Punk took to his Instagram to post some photos from July, which included a photo of himself alongside AEW stars Darby Allin and Brody King.
Punk became friends with both men during his time in the company, including a match with Allin in his return to wrestling at All Out 2021.
CM Punk is set to compete in his first televised WWE singles match in over a decade when he faces Drew McIntyre with Seth Rollins as the special guest referee this Saturday, August 3 at SummerSlam 2024.
