Backstage news has emerged on CM Punk following his recent WWE NXT visit, with Punk making an appearance at NXT Deadline.
After teasing that he was in Bridgeport ahead of the December 9 show, Punk showed up for an in-ring segment with WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative Shawn Michaels.
Per PWInsider, this appearance was pitched at Friday’s SmackDown taping. CM Punk was reportedly ‘immediately up for it’.
The report noted that Punk was not hidden backstage ahead of his appearance on the premium live event.
Punk was reportedly ‘available and friendly’ to NXT talents backstage.
One of the stars who Punk interacted with was the returning Cora Jade. With videos previously surfacing of Jade as a young fan meeting Punk at an autograph signing, many fans had hoped for a segment involving the two stars.
WWE has now shared a ‘full circle’ video, showing Cora Jade breaking character while meeting with Punk backstage.
