WWE’s CM Punk has been cast in a role for an upcoming indie horror movie alongside Justin Long, Jermaine Fowler and RJ Cyler.
The Hollywood Reporter reports that Punk has been cast in the upcoming horror movie “Night Patrol”, where he is said to have a “key role” in the film.
Justin Long, Jermaine Fowler and RJ Cyler are set to star in the film, with Ryan Prows directing and co-writing the film, while David S. Goyer and Keith Levine are the producers.
Per Hollywood Reporter:
In Patrol, an LAPD officer (Fowler) must put aside his differences with the area’s street gangs when he discovers a local police task force is harboring a horrific secret that endangers the residents of the housing projects he grew up in.
Long plays the officer’s partner, recruited as a legacy into night patrol. Cyler stars as the officer’s brother, who sees what he isn’t supposed to see, while Mulroney plays Long’s character’s father, a sergeant with many secrets. Punk rounds out the cast as the sergeant’s brutal right-hand man.
The film is eyeing a 2025 release.
Punk recently wrapped up his feud with Drew McIntyre in a Hell In A Cell clash at WWE Bad Blood.
