CM Punk Comments On Future Following WWE Retirement WWE

WWE star CM Punk comments on his future within WWE after his eventual retirement from in-ring competition.

CM Punk made his return to WWE at the end of the Survivor Series event in 2023 in Chicago after almost a decade away from the company.

Punk has been one of WWE’s top stars since his return, including him main eventing WrestleMania 41 and capturing the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam.

With the end of Punk’s in-ring career closer than the beginning, many have wondered what exactly the future holds for him once he retires from the ring.

Speaking on Pardon My Take, Punk addressed numerous roles he could take up following his retirement.

He said:

“I think I’m that five-tool player. You can put me on commentary. I could ref. That probably wouldn’t work, I’d probably take some attention away from whoever’s in the ring. But there’s so many behind-the-scenes roles.

We call them producers now but in my day we called them agents. There’s people who put shows together. There’s writers obviously, creative people. I love all aspects of the business. There’s like 1000 hats I could wear once I’m crippled and I can’t go anymore.”

Punk is set to team with his wife AJ Lee against Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch at Wrestlepalooza.
