WWE World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk has revealed an external project that will likely happen ‘in the next year’.
Over the years, CM Punk has taken part in a number of outside projects, including writing comics, competing in the UFC and starring in a number of movies.
Punk is set to feature in the upcoming movie Night Patrol, and he appeared on Barstool’s My Mom’s Basement to discuss the movie.
During the interview, Punk was asked if he any interest in eventually directing a movie, to which he noted that he has been offered the chance, and it will ‘likely happen’.
He said:
“It’s been offered. It’s one of those things, a lot like writing comic books or fighting in the UFC that, it was offered to me and it’s kind of unknown and scary, so now I have to do it.
“I think the VHS series is a pretty good way to get my feet wet in that regard.
“It’s definitely something that is more than likely going to happen in the next year. I got to, it got offered to me, and I went ‘what why me?’ ‘Why not?’ Okay, now I’ve gotta do this.”
