CM Punk Gives Major Praise To Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns has been a major highlight for WWE since his return at SummerSlam 2020. Now, CM Punk has heaped praise onto the Tribal Chief.

Speaking on the Wrestling Perspective Podcast, Punk said that Reigns is by far the best guy WWE has. He also went on to say he is the total package. Here is the quote, courtesy of Wrestling Inc.:

“Maybe he needed that adversity and that backlash to finally be this guy but this is the one thing they’re doing right. What can you say bad about what Roman Reigns is doing right now? He’s far and away the best guy they have. When you talk about storylines, in-ring work and all that stuff, right now he’s the total package. For the first time in his career, and I’m not being mean to Roman Reigns, I just feel like he’s finally where they pushed him to be, it just took a minute.”

CM Punk and Roman Reigns crossed paths a handful of times in WWE. Reigns and The Shield worked with Punk in late 2013 and were essentially Punk’s final WWE rivalry before leaving the company.

Roman Reigns is currently the WWE Universal Champion, having held the title since Payback 2020. He has also been the most heavily pushed and protected star in WWE during that time.
