CM Punk has revealed the hilarious way he’s been preparing to take Darby Allin’s vicious suicide dive during their match on Sunday.
Allin has one of the best suicide dives in wrestling and Punk is well aware that he’s probably going to have to take one, and it may be unlike any other suicide dive he’s experienced before.
Allin very much has a tendency to legitimately launch himself at his opponent instead of gently floating into their arms ready to be caught.
Speaking with Sports Illustrated, when asked if he was “prepared” to take Allin’s dive, Punk said:
“No (laughs). I was biking a little bit. I got a full head of steam and I ran right into the back of a semi. I’m almost there.”
Whether Punk is joking or not, that does genuinely sound like something Allin would do for fun.
