The biggest wrestling question of the last decade may soon be coming to an end, as CM Punk has had discussions regarding an in-ring return, Fightful Select (subscription required) is reporting.
Fightful says that they learned last week that CM Punk has been in talks to make a return to pro wrestling, with the sources indicating that his most likely landing point would be All Elite Wrestling (AEW).
There is currently no confirmation that a contract has been signed, or of a timetable of a return date or creative plans, just that Punk has had discussions with a company official regarding an in-ring return.
Nothing has been officially confirmed until the deal is officially signed, as usual.
Fightful also states that they have heard that other companies have expressed interest in Punk coming in, but they have not heard of any specific offers to him.
The report has yet to be officially confirmed by either Punk or AEW officials, but they have been told in recent days that the belief amongst WWE higher ups is that CM Punk is headed to AEW.
