CM Punk has chosen his WWE Raw 2013 match with John Cena over their match at Money In The Bank as the best match he’s ever had.
While many look at the match between John Cena and CM Punk at WWE Money In The Bank in 2011 as the best match of each man’s respective WWE career, Cena and Punk had many classic matches during their time in the company.
Another match between the two that many consider one of the best is their WWE Raw match in March 2013, with the winner going on to face The Rock in the main event of WrestleMania 29.
Cena would win the match, facing The Rock at WrestleMania for the second straight year, while Punk would go on to face off with The Undertaker.
CM Punk Says John Cena Raw Match Is His Best Ever
Speaking on WWE Now, Punk was asked about the two matches, with him choosing the Raw match over the Money In The Bank match, believing it’s the ‘best match he’s ever had’.
He said:
“I think Money In The Bank is more of a moment. I think, just as a pure contest, that match, I think it was Dallas, that match means a whole lot more to me. I think that’s the best match I’ve ever had.”

What Are CM Punk’s Greatest Matches Of All Time?
While both matches with Cena are inarguably among the best Punk has ever had during his career, the current World Heavyweight Champion has had almost too many highlights in his career to count, dating back to even before his time in WWE.
Classic matches with Samoa Joe, Chris Hero and many more during Punk’s days on the independent scene were what really opened many fans eyes to what Punk was capable of as an in-ring performer.
During his time in WWE, he would also go on to have classic matches with Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker at SummerSlam 2013 and WrestleMania 29 respectively, as well as even his recent Hell In A Cell battle with Drew McIntyre at Bad Blood 2024.
Punk also raked in a number of memorable matches during his time in AEW, with the Dog Collar match with MJF at Revolution 2022 the match Punk considers his highlight from his time in the company.
