What Happened With CM Punk After Paul Heyman Betrayal At WWE WrestleMania 41 WWE

Here’s what happened with CM Punk backstage at WWE WrestleMania 41, following Paul Heyman’s betrayal during the main event.

While Punk was able to live his dream and main event a WrestleMania show, Paul Heyman ensured that the night had a bitter end for his now-former friend.

In the closing moments of the CM Punk vs Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins three-way match, Heyman appeared to reveal where his allegiance lay, handing a chair to Punk instead of Reigns.

Before Punk could attack Reigns with the chair however, Heyman dropped Punk with a low blow, allowing Reigns to use the chair to brutalize Punk.

Heyman had one more surprise in store, low-blowing Reigns before the Tribal Chief could take out Seth Rollins. The advocate handed the chair to Rollins, allowing him to win the match and revealing their alliance to the world.

The show went off the air with Reigns and Punk lying defeated in the ring, with Rollins and Heyman celebrating together on the ramp.

WWE has now shared extended footage of what happened after the live broadcast ended. In the video – which you can watch below – Roman Reigns slowly made his way to the back alone, while CM Punk got to his feet while Cult of Personality played.

This wasn’t the last time we saw Punk that night, with the former WWE Champion appearing in a backstage segment during the WrestleMania 41 post-show.

As Punk made his way into the back, he was asked for a comment about what happened out there with one of his longest friends.

Punk ultimately didn’t comment on the situation, instead walking away from the scene.

Meanwhile, Becky Lynch has chosen to share her reaction to Rollins’ alliance with Paul Heyman, which you can read more about right here.
