WWE Raw star CM Punk has addressed potentially facing former 16-time WWE World Champion John Cena during his retirement tour.
John Cena announced that he will be retiring from in-ring competition in 2025 at Money In The Bank 2024. Since then, various WWE stars have publicly addressed wanting to face Cena during his retirement tour next year.
Speaking with Peter Rosenberg, CM Punk addressed potentially facing John Cena during his WWE retirement tour. He said:
“There’s big match John coming right around the corner, another guy who I don’t want to talk about because he’s going to do his own thing.”
“If I’m a part of that, what a fortunate career I’ve had, but John deserves everything that he wants.”
“He calls his own shots is basically what I’m saying but yeah, I’d love to get my hands on him too.”
