CM Punk Reacts To Liv Morgan WWE Raw Injury WWE

CM Punk has paid tribute to Liv Morgan following her injury on the June 16 episode of WWE Raw.

On Monday’s WWE Raw current co-holder of the Women’s Tag Team Championships Liv Morgan suffered a separated shoulder during her match with Kairi Sane, with it later being revealed that the injury will require surgery.

During an appearance on a live edition of Kevin Hart’s Cold As Balls show during Fanatics Fest NYC on Sunday, June 22, CM Punk discussed Morgan’s injury, paying tribute to the former Women’s World Champion and her growth as a performer.

Punk said:

“Shout out to Liv Morgan who recently got injured. She’s like my MVP for the year. I look at people like Liv Morgan who probably started right after I left, like 2014-ish and just from the time I’ve been around her and got to see her work, just the way she’s developed this last year and absolutely broken out of her shell and turned into this little worker.

“It kind of warms my heart. I missed the first part of her journey but to be here to see her grow into who she’s become. It’s disappointing she got injured but its part of the process ladies and gentlemen. Nobody gets out alive is what I like to say when you do this it’s just a part of the job.”

It’s been reported that WWE’s plans for next month’s Evolution PLE have had to be “significantly altered” as a result of Morgan’s injury, with the 31-year-old originally set to play a vital role on the show.

While nothing was confirmed by WWE, those plans seemed set to include Nikki Bella – with a planned run-in by the Hall of Famer during Liv Morgan vs. Kairi Sane reportedly being scrapped.
