CM Punk Reacts To Cody Rhodes WWE Re-Debut AEW

CM Punk is not known for being shy about sharing his feelings and tonight (April 2) was no exception, reacting on Twitter to a variety of WrestleMania Saturday’s biggest angles including Cody Rhodes’ WWE return.

Sharing his congratulations, for a variety of wrestling names, Punk wrote:

“Happy for Kev. Happy for Cody. VERY happy for Steve. Also happy for Sting. Happy for myself. Happy for Bryan. This isn’t controversial. F**k Eddie Kingston. Oh, happy for Edge!”

Cody Rhodes made his return to WWE at WrestleMania 38 as Mr. McMahon’s mystery opponent for Seth Rollins. Corey Graves on commentary said during his entrance, “the prodigal son has returned.”

Cody participated in an interview ahead of his secretive debut, discussing his AEW departure, the deeply personal reason he’s glad to be back with WWE and a fascinating conversation he had with Vince McMahon before returning.

CM Punk has moved on from his time in WWE to return to professional wrestling to compete in some of the past year’s most compelling storylines. CM Punk is currently poised to challenge for AEW World Championship, recently cutting an in-ring promo specifically about his desire to obtain championship gold in AEW.

No word on what Eddie Kingston may have done today to piss off Punk .
