CM Punk Reflects On First Year With AEW AEW

CM Punk has reflected on his past year with AEW, calling it the best year of his wrestling career.

Punk made his AEW debut on Rampage: The First Dance on August 20, where he announced that he’d be returning to the ring for the first time in seven years at All Out 2021.

Since then, Punk has established himself as a top AEW star, winning the AEW World Title at Double of Nothing 2022.

On Instagram, Punk shared several photos from his time in AEW. Noting that he has no intention of hanging his boots up anytime soon, Punk wrote:

“One year ago began the best year of my professional career. Too many great moments, not enough space to post all the great pics. Rekindled passion, made new friends, reunited with old ones. Can’t stop smiling, won’t stop until the wheels fall off.

“Thank you most of all to all the fans who made it possible. I’m having the time of my life, as there’s a drive into deep left field by Castellanos and that’ll be a home run. And so that’ll make it a 4-0 ballgame.

Punk returned to AEW TV on the August 10 edition of Dynamite, confronting interim World Champion Jon Moxley. Punk and Moxley will face off on the August 24 episode, ahead of the All Out pay-per-view on September 4.
