CM Punk Responds To Joey Ryan Dropping Lawsuit

CM Punk has commented on the announcement that Joey Ryan has dropped his lawsuit against a former Ring of Honor star.

It was recently reported by SoCal UNCENSORED that Ryan, real name Joseph Meehan, has dropped many of the cases that he filed after various #SpeakingOut claims were made against him last year.

Meehan took to Twitter to share this article, noting that he’s also dropped the lawsuit against Pelle Tschilis, better known to wrestling fans as Pelle Primeau.

Here is the full tweet:

“I’ve filed to dismiss the Pennsylvania lawsuit too. We’re all struggling with mental health, myself included. Him and I will never agree as to the events in 2013 but I could be more sympathetic. I went through something similar in 2018 and understand his pain. Hebrews 10:24”

In October 2020, Meehan filed a lawsuit against Tschilis, seeking millions of dollars in damages. It was alleged that Tschilis had made 26 statements that had fallen under libel since June 2020 and reportedly asked promotions not to book Meehan due to the allegations made against him.

As per Heel By Nature, Meehan dismissed the lawsuit without prejudice, meaning that he is able to re-file until the statute of limitation ends.

Many have already responded to Meehan’s tweet, including CM Punk who tweeted:

“Dismiss it with prejudice if you mean what you say.”

Meehan hasn’t tweeted since making the announcement.
