CM Punk Channels Spirit Of Rocky In Latest AEW Return Tease (Photo)

There has been a major update in the ongoing will they/won’t they saga between CM Punk and All Elite Wrestling.

Earlier today, Fightful Select provided the update, noting that Punk has expressed interest to AEW in making a return to the company, including willingness to work with Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks, among other possible ideas.

Punk’s odds of returning to the company took a hit last month, when he posted a tirade against Dave Meltzer, Jon Moxley and Chris Jericho on his Instagram story.

In it, Punk mentioned the plans for a ‘Rocky III’ style story with Moxley during their feud last year, before noting that he had never seen a Rocky movie.

For some reason, Punk having never watched Rocky was one of the main takeaways from the post. I mean, it is outrageous, but there was a lot of more important information in that post.

Well now, amid the latest reports of him potentially being set to make his way back to the company, Punk posted his latest Rocky-themed Instagram story.

This time though, Punk’s face was imposed onto the body of the Italian Stallion, a clear reference to the previous post and pitched story.
