CM Punk Addresses Facing Roman Reigns At WWE WrestleMania 42

WWE World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk has addressed Roman Reigns choosing him as his opponent for WrestleMania 42.

After winning the Royal Rumble match, Roman Reigns revealed that he had chosen to challenge for CM Punk’s World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 42.

During their confrontation on the February 2 edition of Raw, Roman Reigns stated in a highly-praised promo that he is choosing to face Punk in April because he hates him.

Speaking on the Pat McAfee Show about praise Roman Reigns has been receiving following his WWE Raw promo, Punk said:

“Oh, imagine that. In the ring with CM Punk, bringing the best out of guys? I’ve heard that before.”

Commenting on the upcoming match, he continued:

“When you take wrestling and you look at who is the biggest names in the industry, the top two are CM Punk and Roman Reigns. so you wanna see them in the biggest event, in the main event of WrestleMania.

“So we’re here now. I wasn’t sure he was gonna pick me – I thought he might pick Drew because I do legitimately believe Drew is the easier choice. But where I’m at right now, I’ve got him exactly where I want him.

“He picked me. I got under his skin, he’s emotional, and we all know, those emotional Samoans, they can’t control themselves.”
