CM Punk Reacts To Sasha Banks Stealing His Catchphrase

CM Punk has hilariously responded to WWE star Sasha Banks stealing his catchphrase for a social media post during SmackDown.

Ahead of her match against Becky Lynch on the October 15 episode, Banks tweeted ‘It’s Clobberin’ time’, a phrase famously used by CM Punk before he begins a ring-walk.

To be fair, both Marvel’s The Thing and the band ‘Sick of it All’ have previously coined the phrase, but it didn’t seem like Banks was paying homage to the comic book character.

Firing back at Banks, Punk has since replied:

Friday’s editions of WWE SmackDown and AEW Rampage notably went head-to-head for 30 minutes. It has now been revealed that Rampage beat SmackDown in the key 18-49 demographic for the half-hour the two shows clashed.

Sasha Banks vs Becky Lynch was featured on SmackDown during the ‘clash’, while Rampage led with CM Punk vs Matt Sydal.

Punk has also recently taken to Twitter to respond to fan backlash following the announcement that AEW has partnered with the Susan G Komen organization.
