CM Punk Speaks Out After Judge Rules In His Favour

On Tuesday, June 5th, a judge ruled that CM Punk and Colt Cabana did not owe WWE doctor Chris Amman nearly $4million in damages after comments they made about him on a podcast in November 2014.

During an appearance on Cabana’s ‘Art of Wrestling’ podcast, Punk accused Amman of allowing him to wrestle while injured and also misdiagnosing a staph infection.

After the verdict was given, Punk and Cabana embraced, celebrating a historic victory.

Punk spoke to Wrestlezone’s Nick Hausman when he left the courtroom, and the former WWE Champion had this to say:

“Aside from the fact that I’m in the middle of a weight cut, and obviously I’ve got some other business to take care of at the end of the week, a gigantic weight has been lifted off of my shoulders.

“First and foremost, I’m happy for my friend Colt Cabana, who I think was dragged into this for silly reasons, but just in general, I’m super appreciative and happy that the jury came to that verdict. They think I had truth on my side, obviously I did, and common sense prevailed.

“I’m just happy. I appreciate everyone that was in my corner and knew and continues to know the truth. I can’t wait to put it all behind me. I wanted out years ago, and I still feel the same way. I just want to move on with my life.”

Punk has a UFC fight against Mike Jackson on June 9th, so it’s safe to say his thoughts are now firmly on that.

He was then asked the question that everyone has been asking since the September 1st All In show was announced. Are you All In?

“I’m not,” he replied.

Which is exactly what someone who didn’t want us to know that he will be appearing at all in would say…

Do you think Punk will be at All In? Let us know in the comments.
