WWE World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk has addressed potentially starring in a movie alongside John Cena following his retirement.
John Cena retired from wrestling on December 13, where he lost his final match to Gunther at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Washington DC.
Cena has found himself becoming a major name in Hollywood over the past few years, and other wrestlers have begun entering Hollywood, including Cena’s iconic rival CM Punk.
Punk appeared on My Mom’s Basement, where he was asked about potentially starring in a movie alongside John Cena.
He said:
“I’ve had a couple meetings and that topic has come up. I can only imagine what John’s slate looks like, it’s probably super, super busy.
“I’d imagine some time in the future we’ll be working together. I’ve got like bucket list names I wanna work with, and selfishly a lot of them are my friends; Dave (Bautista) and John are probably like the top two.”
