Over the past few weeks, two men had been linked together with speculation that they were both AEW bound. The first of those two men was CM Punk, who made his historic return to wrestling on last week’s (August 20) episode of AEW Rampage.
The other man was Bryan Danielson (Daniel Bryan), who has been rumoured to debut at the upcoming Dynamite show in Arthur Ashe Stadium on September 22.
On his promo on tonight’s (August 25) episode of Dynamite, Punk heavily teased Bryan’s rumoured impending debut with the promotion, if not outright confirming it.
When the fans began chanting ‘Yes! Yes! Yes!’ during Punk’s promo, Punk stopped and said:
That’s somebody else’s shtick, and you might just need to be a little bit more patient, ok?
