CM Punk Reveals Text Messages From Stone Cold Steve Austin After WWE Return WWE

CM Punk has revealed text messages he exchanged with Stone Cold Steve Austin upon Punk’s return to WWE last year.

One year ago today, November 25, CM Punk returned to WWE at Survivor Series ‘WarGames’ 2023 a few months after his AEW departure.

Looking back one year later, Punk first shared a message of thanks and appreciation on Instagram, writing:

Happy one year anniversary of my return to WWE.

Thank you to all the fans for waiting, chanting my name for years and carrying me on this journey. Thank you to my family and friends backstage for the warmth and continued support. Thank you Paul, Nick and Bruce for the trust and making it all happen. Love you all! We are just getting started! ❤

However, as you can see below, Punk laid the text over a photo of Seth Rollins’ livid reaction to Punk’s return, a feud that is still simmering to this day.

The interactions between the two are likely to continue heating up after Punk recently became the fifth member of Roman Reigns’ OG Bloodline team for WWE Survivor Series ‘WarGames’ 2024.

This came after the group had tried a couple of times to recruit Seth Rollins, who rejected them on the basis of not wanting to team with Reigns, despite his own rival Bronson Reed being on the other side.

Moving past Punk’s first post, he also revealed a text message exchange with Stone Cold Steve Austin after his return last year, with Austin writing:

Goddam. That was a f**king monster pop. Maybe the loudest I’ve ever heard. Awesome! 💪💪
