CM Punk, Tony Khan and more have once again teased that Punk will be making his AEW debut on tonight’s episode of Rampage in Chicago.
Punk’s wrestling return has now been teased for weeks by himself and AEW, and today is the day it’s all been leading up to.
AEW President Tony Khan tweeted:
I’m betting that excitement from the most anticipated announcement in @AEW history at #AEWRampage The First Dance will build up through All Out on PPV. We’ll make new fans + we’ll welcome dormant wrestling households worldwide back into the fold; a new era in #AEW begins tomorrow
CM Punk posted on his latest Instagram story an image of ‘The Dark Knight Returns’ comic, with Queen’s Don’t Stop Me Now playing in the background, specifically the lyrics: “Tonight I’m gonna have myself a real good time. I feel alive”.
And AEW star Matt Hardy posted the following GIF on Twitter, of him and Punk teaming together against John Morrison and The Miz in a WWE ECW match:

In Hardy’s case, it’s probably just a case of him joining in the fun, because it’s unlikely AEW will have actually told the wrestlers Punk is officially a done deal so it doesn’t leak, much like what happened with Sting where even the announcers and people in the ring at the time didn’t know he was debuting.
Also, if you missed it, AEW World Champion Kenny Omega wore a short on Dynamite this past Wednesday with “Chick Magnet” written on it. Punk has stated under oath in court that the CM in his name does stand for Chick Magnet.
WrestleTalk.com will of course have live coverage of AEW Rampage tonight and we’ll be on top of any updates heading into the show.
