CM Punk Sends Message To WWE Star After First Match Together In Over 20 Years WWE

WWE’s CM Punk has sent a message to AJ Styles after facing off against him for the first time in over 20 years on Monday Night Raw.

CM Punk, AJ Styles and El Grande Americano faced off on the June 2 episode, in the final Money in the Bank qualifying match.

El Grande Americano was ultimately victorious, pinning AJ Styles following interference from Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker.

CM Punk has now taken to his Instagram Story to show respect to AJ Styles, calling him a legend.

Hoping they don’t wait 21 more years for their next encounter, Punk said:

“AJ Styles, I’ve got a lot on my plate right now but I’ll always make room for you.

“Thank you for the boot print on my nose. Let’s not wait 21 years for the next time. You’re a legend.”

Prior to this match, CM Punk and AJ Styles last faced off at IWC A Call To Arms 2 in December 2004.

While they were both part of the 2025 30-man Royal Rumble match, the Money in the Bank qualifier marked their first match against one another since 2004.

With El Grande Americano’s victory, he will join Solo Sikoa, LA Knight, Penta, Seth Rollins and Andrade in the Money in the Bank match on June 7.
