Former WWE Star Shares Honest Thoughts On CM Punk World Championship Win WWE

A former WWE star has shared his honest thoughts on CM Punk winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

CM Punk defeated Jey Uso on the November 1 Saturday Night’s Main Event to pick up his seventh WWE world championship, winning the vacant World Heavyweight Title.

With the title run now underway, Maven shared his thoughts on where he sees Punk within WWE during an appearance on TMZ Sports.

Maven was asked about Tyrus recent comments, with the former “Brodus Clay” previously stating he believes Punk should be focused on preparing up-and-coming stars, and that world championships shouldn’t be on his radar any more.

Sharing his honest thoughts on the situation, Maven agreed:

“In a perfect world, he should be like that, but I mean, we’re in a male ego dominated industry. Wrestling is high school, the only difference is that everyone in that locker room is the prom king and prom queen.

“You have all these Type A personalities, it’s hard to tell these ego-driven maniacs – myself being one of them at a time in my life – that it’s time to play a different role within the company. That’s tough to hear.

“He still thinks he’s got one more run in him, who are we to say if he does or doesn’t? Usually Father Time makes that decision for you.”
