CM Punk’s match for WWE’s annual Holiday Tour event at Madison Square Garden has now been confirmed.
While Punk’s first televised WWE match was the 2024 Royal Rumble bout, his first contest in a WWE ring in almost 10 years took place at the December 26, 2023 non-televised Holiday Tour MSG show, against Dominik Mysterio.
The former WWE Champion now has a match announced for the 2024 show, one year on from his WWE in-ring return.
MSG has shared a graphic for CM Punk vs Ludwig Kaiser, which will take place at this year’s iteration of the annual special non-televised house show.
The graphic was shared with the following caption:
🚨 BREAKING 🚨 CM Punk vs. Ludwig Kaiser at the annual @WWE Live Holiday Tour at The Garden on Dec 26!
You can view the graphic below.
Punk and Kaiser have never faced off in a singles match.
CM Punk last wrestled at Survivor Series WarGames, where he teamed with Roman Reigns, The Usos and Sami Zayn to defeat Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, Jacob Fatu and Bronson Reed.
There has been a lot of speculation about Punk’s involvement with this match, with Punk previously stating that he sided with Reigns to earn a favor from Paul Heyman.
A major CM Punk match has been ‘heavily discussed’ for WrestleMania 41, which you can read more about right here.
