CM Punk saved the day after the main event on the WWE Live Holiday Tour at Madison Square Garden last night.
The December 26 WWE house show took place in the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York and featured three championship matches.
The Intercontinental Championship saw Bron Breakker facing Sami Zayn in a 2 out of 3 falls match.
The WWE Women’s World Championship was also on the line with Liv Morgan defending against IYO SKY.
Meanwhile, the main event saw Gunther defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Damian Priest in a steel cage.
With Gunther victorious in the main event against Priest, things would take a turn when the champion, Ludwig Kaiser and Dominik Mysterio decided to carry out a post-match attack.
The numbers may have been against Priest, but salvation came in the form of CM Punk who was, it seems, half way through a shower.
As can be seen below this news story, Punk arrived in just a towel and a shower cap to save the day.
Punk would unleash on Kaiser and Mysterio with Priest finally taking out both men with a double clothesline of his own.
Prior to this, CM Punk had defeated Ludwig Kaiser in a singles match. This was his first in-ring bout following teaming with the OG Bloodline in the WarGames match at Survivor Series.
