CM Punk Names WWE’s MVP

CM Punk has named the WWE roster member that he considers to have been the company’s MVP over the last year.

Speaking on the ESPN WrestleMania 41 Night Two Reaction show, Punk reacted to all the events of the April 20, 2025, WWE PLE.

During the conversation, he would turn his attention to one star in particular, noting Liv Morgan as the MVP, saying:

“Over the course of the last year, Liv Morgan has been my MVP.”

Morgan (and Raquel Rodriguez) would lose the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship to the returning Becky Lynch and her tag-team partner, Lyra Valkyria.

That loss would be short-lived, however, with the Judgment Day members going on to recapture the titles at the Raw After WrestleMania, seeing Lynch turn heel in the process.

The past twelve months have been quite the journey for Morgan, with the April 8 2024 WWE Raw seeing her attack and legitimately injure Rhea Ripley.

With Ripley out of the picture, Morgan would pursue Dominik Mysterio, leading to much tension within Judgment Day.

SummerSlam in August would see Morgan retain the WWE Women’s World Championship in her match against Ripley thanks to interference from Mysterio, with the pair locking lips post-match.

Morgan has continued to be a member of Judgment Day, stirring the pot with Finn Balor on multiple occasions.

With Dominik Mysterio as the current WWE Intercontinental Champion, following WrestleMania 41, Morgan has commented on his victory, declaring him the greatest IC champion.

Mysterio pinned Finn Balor to take the championship from Bron Breakker in a match that also featured Penta on Night Two of WrestleMania 41.
