CM Punk Drops Numerous WWE References In Scathing AEW Dynamite Promo AEW

AEW World Champion CM Punk made his return to AEW television at the end of last week’s AEW Dynamite show, where he confronted Interim AEW World Champion Jon Moxley.

Punk opened up tonight’s episode of the show, where he came to the ring and called out former AEW World Champion Adam Page for a rematch right now.

However, Hangman never showed, which Punk said was ‘coward s**t’, and that the apology should be as loud as the disrespect, and anyone else who has a problem with him should come on out. Punk then addressed Moxley, saying that he’s not the best, because Punk is THE AEW World Champion, and that Moxley has always been number two.

Punk then said that Moxley was the third best member of his group, which has been a recurring theme for his career. Punk then said that Mox’s best friend is the third best Eddie he’s been in the ring with, and the second best Kingston he’s ever been in the locker room with.

Mox then interrupted Punk, who continued to speak as Mox made his way out to the ring and did snow angels on the mat. Moxley said that Punk is writing cheques with his mouth that his body can’t cash, and that Punk isn’t even the best wrestler in catering most of the time.

Moxley claimed Punk was only in AEW because he ran out of money, and that Punk ran out of fighting spirit a long time ago. The two then exchanged punches before the security came out to break the fight up.
