Rush has been one of CMLL‘s biggest stars of the last five years. Now Rush is set to make his Ring of Honor debut on December 15th in Philadelphia, the night after Final Battle. Ian Riccaboni made the announcement during ROH‘s Survival of the Fittest show although Rush’s opponent has not been announced yet.
Rush has been CMLL‘s “most hated wrestler” since 2013. He founded the original Los Ingobernables stable alongside La Sombra (WWE’s Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas) and La Mascara. Over the years Rush has also developed a partnership with New Japan Pro Wrestling star Tetsuya Naito. When Naito left New Japan in 2015 he formed a bond with Rush and La Sombra resulting in the formation of the Japanese branch of Los Ingobernables.
Rush is also scheduled to make his Major League Wrestling debut this week. He is set to face Sammy Guevara on November 8th in Cicero, Illinois.
ROH Final Battle is set to take place the night before Rush’s debut. The show will emanate from the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York and will also feature the ROH debut of Zack Sabre Jr. Sabre will make his debut against Jonathan Grisham. The only other announced match for the show is Sumie Sakai defending her Women of Honor Championship in a four-way match. Britt Baker is the only participant in the four-way match that has been announced as of this time.
We will bring you all the updates on Ring of Honor‘s final pay per view of the year and Rush’s opponent so make sure you check back with WrestleTalk early and often.
