Cody Reassures AEW Fans Despite WarnerMedia Shakeup

AEW TNT Champion Cody has reassured fans despite the recent shakeup at WarnerMedia that many believe could affect the promotion.

Earlier this week it was reported that Kevin Reilly, who was the president of TNT, TBS and TruTV, was let go by WarnerMedia. Reilly was said to be a big proponent for AEW and had a big hand in securing its TV deal.

Many fans have taken to Twitter with their concerns, but Cody has made it known that the relationship is still a good one. Replying to a fan asking if they should be worried, he wrote:

No. We have been blessed to have had so many viewers(even opposed), thus the 3+ year extension. It’s a great partnership!

Cody also noted that plans for a second show on TV are still in plane and nothing has changed in that regard.

AEW Dynamite drew its highest total viewership since March this week with 901,000 viewers, and beat WWE Raw in the 18-34 demographic.
