All Elite Wrestling’s media conference call covered many topics, among them was the recent comments made by Val Venis.
Venis went on a transphobic tirade last week following Nyla Rose winning the AEW Women’s Championship. While we will not repeat the comments here, needless to say, they were not kind. Cody responded to the comments during the call with the following being reported by the Wrestling Observer:
Cody says Val Venis' response to Nyla Rose winning the title is disappointing. Says he's like the Disco Inferno of WWE, no one knows him anymore. Says real way to end bigotry is to not give people like him attention & oxygen. Stop giving the ball back to those people. ^JN

Cody’s response was admirable, urging people to not to give hatred and bigotry the attention they’re seeking. He also mentioned that Venis is like Disco Inferno in terms of his lack of relevance to wrestling.
There really is no place for hatred and bigotry in pro wrestling. Hopefully, this is the last we will hear from Val Venis on the subject.
