Up and coming WWE star Cody Rhodes has teased the return of a fan-favourite championship belt if he was to win the WWE Championship one day.
Over the years, Cody has been pretty open about the fact that the winged-eagle belt, which served as the WWE championship belt in the 80s and 90s, is one of his favourite designs ever, and if there’s something Cody likes more than anything, it’s things that were around when his dad was wrestling.
As noticed by a fan on Twitter, Cody shared a close-up image of the winged-eagle belt on his Instagram story, which you can see below.

It’s not the first time Cody has teased the return of the belt either, having tweeted about the strap several times over the past few years.
Meeting earlier today, I was asked “what’s the big big picture?”…to which I replied…winged eagle.

Cody has been very open that his goal since coming back to WWE is to win the WWE Championship, so perhaps he has enough sway with Vince McMahon to convince him to bring back the belt?
