Cody Rhodes Confronts John Cena For First Time Since WWE Heel Turn WWE

After John Cena opened today’s WWE Raw with a tirade against the fans, he was interrupted by his WrestleMania opponent, Cody Rhodes.

When Rhodes joined Cena in the ring, before he could barely get a sentence or two out, Cena cut him off and said “listen kid”, which prompted a more aggressive Rhodes to respond:

“ENOUGH. It’s certainly not kid. It’s WWE Champion.”

Rhodes then said he was disappointed that he’s not getting to face the ‘real’ John Cena at WrestleMania 41, and if “this whiney bitch” version of Cena turns up at Mania 41, Rhodes will run him over and put him into an early retirement.

Rhodes then left the ring with Cena stood alone, to a chorus of boos from the fans.

The boos then turned into a “na na na na, hey hey hey, goodbye” chant as he stoically walked back up the ramp.

After he left, Michael Cole on commentary then got heated and called Cena an “irrational prick” for his comments about the fans.

Cole said:

“For two decades, I believed in that man, rode alongside that man, bought everything that he was selling, not only me but millions around the world, and he has the audacity to come out tonight and blame the WWE fans?

“John Cena is a 16-time champion because of the fans. John Cena is a massive millionaire and a movie star because of the fans, and what does he do? He comes out and cries and acts like an irrational prick. That is what John Cena is!”
