Cody Rhodes Addresses Dustin Rhodes & Von Erichs Winning ROH Six Man Championship WWE/AEW

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes has commented on Dustin Rhodes winning the ROH Six-Man Tag Team Championship with the Von Erichs.

Following Marshall and Ross Von Erich’s several AEW and ROH appearances, the duo teamed up with Dustin Rhodes to face Matt Taven, Mike Bennett & Roderick Strong of the Undisputed Kingdom in a match for the vacant ROH six-man titles at AEW Battle of the Belts XI.

Dustin Rhodes and the Von Erichs were ultimately victorious, leading to a wholesome moment where the Von Erichs handed their gold to their father, Kevin Von Erich.

Speaking with Justin Barrasso for The Takedown on SI, Cody Rhodes noted that he greatly admires the Von Erichs, so loved the moment.

He explained:

“Dustin doing the spot with the Von Erichs was so cool. I have such a love for the Von Erichs.

“I don’t think Kevin knows this, but I studied Kevin, I watched Kevin, I was so fascinated by Kevin Von Erich. To see his kids and Dustin, it was very touching.”

Rhodes last wrestled at the August 3 SummerSlam event, defeating Solo Sikoa with an assist from Roman Reigns to retain his Undisputed WWE Championship.

Cody Rhodes’ next title challenger has been revealed, which you can read more about right here.
