Cody Rhodes has once again prompted a big Twitter reaction for his antics on tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite on TNT.
Rhodes pulled a golden shovel and a sledgehammer out from under the ring during his street fight main event against Andrade El Idolo, but wasn’t finished there.
The match ended with Brandi Rhodes returning and setting up a burning table for Cody to launch Andrade through off the top rope for the win.
It was actually Cody Rhodes himself who took the brunt of the table, but he still pinned Andrade after the spot.
He received a mixed reaction – probably mostly boos actually – in his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia during his entrance and throughout the match.
Rhodes’ fan reactions have become one of the most compelling stories to follow in AEW, with the fans seemingly turning on him due to him often taking time away for other projects, but him constantly saying he’s adamant that he won’t turn heel.
