Cody Rhodes’ Mother Reacts To John Cena WWE Heel Turn

Cody Rhodes’ mother has reacted to John Cena’s heel turn on her son Cody Rhodes at the Elimination Chamber event.

The main event of WrestleMania 41 is now set, with John Cena winning the Elimination Chamber match to earn a shot at Cody Rhodes’ WWE Championship at WrestleMania.

However, the noteworthy moment took place after the match, when John Cena sold his soul to the Rock, turning heel and laying a beatdown on Cody alongside Rock and Travis Scott.

Cena has yet to appear on WWE television since the turn, though his actions have been mentioned on the show by many different names, including CM Punk, Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes himself.

Speaking to Bill Apter of SportsKeeda’s WrestleBinge, Cody Rhodes’ mother Michelle commented on John Cena’s betrayal of her son at the Elimination Chamber, calling him ‘just an asshole’.

She said:

“I was just shocked. Completely shocked. I would have never, never thought that was going to happen. I mean, he was a friend of Cody’s, and, of course, Dusty knew him, but I wouldn’t call him a family friend.”

“I would say, ‘John, you should be ashamed of yourself. You had a beautiful career. Everybody loved you and and now you’re just an asshole.'”

John Cena and Cody Rhodes will both be appearing on next week’s episode of WWE Raw in Brussels, Belgium.
