Everyone has lessons that they learn in wrestling. In the case of Cody Rhodes, he has revealed that being put in a prominent position while being so young didn’t make him the nicest guy.
During a recent Twitter Q&A, Rhodes was asked what one of the biggest lessons he learned in wrestling was. His answer, in short, was to not believe your spot on the card. Here is the quote:
“Don’t believe your spot on the card. I was like 23 when I started doing my first main events on live events…and I became a little a$$hole. It’s a natural phase, but the sooner you realize not to be content or satisfied and that the fans come first, the better off you are.”
Cody Rhodes wrestled as part of Legacy from 2008-2010 in WWE. Working with Randy Orton and Ted DiBiase, Rhodes worked the main event scene until the group disbanded. From there, he returned to the mid-card on SmackDown.
Now part of All Elite Wrestling, Rhodes has been a much bigger star than he ever was in WWE. Rhodes will be taking on QT Marshall in an exhibition match on AEW Dynamite this week.
