Cody Rhodes’ opponent at John Cena’s Final Match edition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event has now been confirmed.
During his final WWE Raw appearance in Boston on November 10, Cena announced that his final match at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13 will feature main roster WWE stars facing off NXT stars.
On last night’s SmackDown, it was revealed that WWE Champion Cody Rhodes will be in action on the show, with him set to face off against the NXT Champion, whether it be Oba Femi or Ricky Saints following tonight’s NXT Deadline show.
The NXT Championship match between Oba Femi and Ricky Saints kicked off tonight’s NXT Deadline event, with Oba picking up the victory in the match to regain the NXT Championship, earning the right to face Cody at Saturday Night’s Main Event next weekend.
It was also revealed on last night’s SmackDown that the Saturday Night’s Main Event show will also see Sol Ruca from NXT take on Raw’s Bayley.
Gunther defeated LA Knight in the final of the Last Time Is Now Tournament on SmackDown to earn the right to be John Cena’s final opponent.
