When Cody Rhodes left AEW earlier this year to return to WWE, many were concerned about how WWE would present the American Nightmare after his arrival.
Just three weeks into Cody’s second WWE run however, and WWE have kept him exactly as we remember him in AEW, and are presenting him as one of the top stars in the company.
This was also evidenced by WWE’s recent advert for Raw and SmackDown on NBC, which features Universal Champion Roman Reigns as the primary focus for SmackDown, naturally, and the American Nightmare himself as the primary focus for Raw.
Rhodes is set for a rematch with Seth Rollins at the upcoming WWE WrestleMania Backlash event on May 8.
Rhodes is currently undefeated since his return to the company. For a full list of win/loss records for WWE’s men’s roster for 2022, click here.
