A WWE Hall of Famer and former AEW name has revealed how Cody Rhodes went on to prove him wrong at WrestleMania 40.
WrestleMania 40 saw Cody Rhodes defeat Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion back in April 2024.
Rhodes had left AEW around two years earlier, making his return to WWE at WrestleMania 38 in April 2022.
During his time in AEW, Rhodes reunited with Arn Anderson of Four Horsemen fame, with the WWE Hall of Famer sharing an insight into their relationship in a recent interview.
Speaking to Denise Salcedo, Anderson shared how Rhodes proved him wrong by finishing his story at WrestleMania 40, saying:
“When he finished his story, without being in contact with him up until that point, I sent him a text and went ‘You know, you told the truth. You wanted to try it your way, I fought you all the way, but you proved me wrong and guess what? 60,000 people just said I was wrong too, so uncle.”

In the wake of the victory over Rhodes, the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship would lose the ‘Universal’ part, with Cody Rhodes currently in his second Undisputed WWE Championship reign.
With Rhodes having recently launched an attack in the home of Drew McIntyre, the Undisputed WWE Champion has been warned that he will be stripped of the title if he touches his rival again.
