Cody Rhodes made his return to WWE at tonight’s Saturday Night’s Main Event show, with a match being announced for Money In The Bank.

Cody Rhodes lost the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 41, when John Cena defeated him to win his record-breaking 17th World Championship.

Cody has not appeared on WWE television since the show, with his return being reported to be taking place soon, and that return came at tonight’s Saturday Night’s Main Event show.

On the show, John Cena defeated R-Truth in non-title action, before he met up with World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso backstage ahead of his defence against Logan Paul.

Cena told Jey that him losing the title to Logan would ‘ruin wrestling’, before he got involved in the main event, attempting to cost Jey the match and the title.

However, as Cena and Logan were attacking Jey, Cody Rhodes made his return, making the save and allowing Jey Uso to retain the World Heavyweight Championship.

Following the match, Cody took the mic, where he challenged Cena and Logan to a tag team match against he and Jey at Money In The Bank in two weeks time.

It was previously reported that a six-man tag team match was planned for the show, with Cena and Logan teaming with Travis Scott against Cody Rhodes and the Usos.
