Ahead of Bad Blood, a major Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns segment has been teased for the September 20 WWE SmackDown.
On the September 13 Season Premiere episode of SmackDown, Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns signed a contract to team to face The Bloodline’s Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu on Saturday, October 5 at WWE Bad Blood.
On September 20, WrestleVotes reported that WWE was planning for a major segment on Friday’s SmackDown with Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns. The post reads:
I’m told WWE recently shot footage with Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes at Georgia Tech. The idea centers around their connection to Atlanta, ahead of the Bad Blood PLE. Cody is an Atlanta native, while Reigns played two seasons for the Yellow Jackets. #SmackDown
Ahead of Friday’s show, Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns took to social media to tease the SmackDown segment with a photo of the two on the field at Georgia Tech. WWE retweeted the post to further tease the major segment. The post reads:

WWE CCO Triple H took to social media to quote tweet Roman’s post and tease that fans have never seen anything like this. He wrote:
The OTC. The American Nightmare. You’ve never seen anything like this before…

Also announced for tonight’s SmackDown, Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton will face Bayley and Naomi in a Tornado Tag Team Match and LA Knight will defend the United States Championship against Andrade.
